Resizing Images |
HOW TO RESIZE IMAGES IN PHOTOSHOP
- Open Photoshop (Start -> Programs -> CG Applications -> Adobe -> Adobe
Photoshop)
- Select File -> Open
- Find the image on your computer that you would like to modify.
- Select the image and hit Open.
- Your image(s) will load and open in Photoshop.
- Select Image -> Mode and make sure RGB is chosen
- Select Image -> Image size
- Make sure your resolution is set to 72
- If you need to change the width and height, type in your desired
size and hit Okay.
- Your image will resize.
- Next you need to save your image, select File -> Save for Web
- Make sure the correct file type is selected in the drop down box on the right (.jpg, .gif, etc.)
- Hit Save.
- Select the correct place you would like to save your new images to.
- Hit Save.
- Your new image with the correct file name and type should now be saved where you selected.
- Repeat process until all images are resized correctly.
HOW TO EXPORT IMAGES OUT OF ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
- Open Illustrator (Start -> Programs -> CG
Applications -> Adobe -> Adobe Illustrator)
- Select File -> Open
- Find the file that you would like to export (if
it doesn't show, make sure it says "All Files" in
the drop down box at the bottom).
- Once the file is open, do File -> Save As...
- Select where you want to save the file and in the
file type drop down box at the bottom select EPS.
- Save the image where you will know where to find
it.
- Follow the instructions above for Photoshop on
how to open, resize and correctly save the image.
HOW TO EXPORT IMAGES OUT OF FREEHAND
- Open FreeHand (Start -> Programs -> CG Applications -> Macromedia
-> FreeHand
)
- Select File -> Open
- Find the file that you would like to export (if it doesn't show, make sure it says "All Files" in the drop down box at the bottom).
- Once the file is open, do File -> Export.
- Select where you want to save the file and in the file type drop down box at the bottom select Photoshop 5.
- Save the image where you will know where to find it.
- Follow the instructions above for Photoshop on how to open, resize and correctly save the image.
