Mounting the G: Drive to Submit Assignments from Off Campus
To mount the Classes drive, you must first be connected to Purdue's network via the VPN connection. For instructions on how to do this, go to http://www.itap.purdue.edu/connections/vpn/. Use your Purdue career account login and password to log into the VPN client.
Once you have a VPN connection established:
- Right Click on My computer Icon
- Select Map Network Drive
- Select Drive letter from drop down list
- At the bottom click "connect as a different user"
- Username: sot\username
- Pass: your career acct password here
- G: \\sotclass1.tech.purdue.edu\classes
Now you should be able to access the G: drive (classes) just as if you were on campus. If you need help accessing the G drive and submitting your assignments, see Submitting Files to the G: Drive in Lab.
