So running from late 1985 all the way to 1988, Marvel's version of the ThunderCats series was the most successful comic series to be published by Marvel's subsidary brand of Star Comics. Star Comics before this used to go for the kid readers than their regular comic books. Another reason why this amazing comic from Marvel did so well was because they used many of their good writers on the project. ThunderCats boasted some of Marvel's finest talents, including writers David Micheline, Gerry Conway and Tom DeFalco, and veteran artists Jim Mooney and Jose Delbo amongst many others, and it was this calibre of staff that made Marvel's ThunderCats such a special take on the property.
