CLYC Website Menu Explanations
We are very proud to offer our new website that allows for member management, on-line payment of events and increased flexibility for managing the content of our site.
To familiarize yourself with our new site, here is an explanation of each menu on the left hand side of each page.
>>Home - This is the page that appears first when you browse to www.clyc.com. We will keep this page brief as we want the club to get used to the menu system on the left.
>>About CLYC - We wanted a place to tell newcomers about what a great organization CLYC is.>>Membership Directory - You won't see this unless you are logged in to www.clyc.com as a member and this is how you can look up the phone number or email address of another member. This is ONLY shown to members who are logged in to the website.
>>Event Calendar / Sign-up - This is not our club calendar, but instead a list of upcoming sailing and social events. For example, our Spring Regatta is listed with a link to the Spring Regatta page as well as the ability to sign-up/pay on-line. We will also be allowing members the ability to go to a Donations section for items such as 4th of July fireworks.
>>Donations - This allows both member and non-members to contribute to programs / events that the Cedar Lake Yacht Club manages for both members and non-members. Any visitor to our website can make a simple credit card donation.
>>News and Regatta Info - Announcements of upcoming events as well as information about how CLYC sailors do at regattas!
>>Message Boards / For Sale - Members can post want ads as well as participate in a discussion board about issues surrounding CLYC.
>>CLYC Documents & Results - Club calendar, Keelhauler, and race results are some of the items found on this page.
>>Fleet pages / Links - Each fleet has the ability to maintain their own webpage for class postings. We also have a great list of sailing related links for you to browse to.
>>Photo Gallery - This is the spot where pictures taken can be viewed. Each member can even post their own photos to their own gallery!>>Sailing School - A page for all things related to sailing school. Our head instructor will keep this page up to date for parents/students to check for changes and notifications.

>>Contact Us - If you have a question, member or non-member, here is how you can get in touch with someone.
We will be distributing usernames and passwords to the site this spring. Once you receive your username/password to the site, you will notice a "Profile" link below your name. This allows you to manage your own personal settings at www.clyc.com. We hope you enjoy!
